This iconic image was photographed by NEIL LEIFER, who just happened to be on the prime side of the ring.

The man in the glasses with white hair and white shirt was a very well known photographer of the time, and he is seen directly in between Muhammad Ali's legs. It's ironic because one the "best" photographers there did not capture the historic photo, but instead became part of it.
