The Witch, The Faeries, and Puss. A short in three parts. Part 1 A large cup of tea
Agnes was by no means the most competent witch. She'd tried her best, most of her life, but suffered from the handicap of being a bit scatter brained. It wasn't that she couldn't control her spells, but that they simply sometimes controlled her. Take now, for instance.
It was getting hot and she had forgot to wear her hat or bring a parasol (absent minded again) and she wanted to enjoy her lovely cup of tea in the cool shade.
"Easy," says she to Puss "I'll shrink down and relax in the shade of the toadstool
Easier said then done. This was a saying Agnes decided should be upon her family crest.
Now she was far more hot having managed to shrink herself but not her teacup.
"A rather rum sort of hot bath this is, eh Puss" she laughed to her constant companion and supposed familiar.
However, Puss was not the best familiar going and was certainly not an obediant servant as she was meant to be and Agnes did not like the way Puss was currently staring at her. Like a mouse in a saucer of cream...'
What next shall befall poor Agnes?
Stay tuned for part 2...
I hope your day goes better than Agnes', but remember : a good cup of tea, even when larger than expected, can sometimes help.
Love the art and the little story! I must agree about a good cup of tea, it’s one of my favorite ways to relax, especially while painting!
Me too. I always have a pot by my side in the studio!
