The painting Abaporu by Tarsila do Amaral, from 1928, inspired the Anthropophagic Manifesto, written by the artist's husband, the poet Oswald de Andrade, and became the symbol of this movement that sought to "eat" and digest European art to create a Brazilian art , Unique and proper.
