Project 365: First Month of My Calendar Journal 2018 Complete!
Attempts to finish a Project 365 have been made before, but I always ended up unsuccessful. After two or three weeks in the first month, I was always unable to commit because of my priorities.
I am hoping to change that in 2018 and so far I have achieved some success.
My kind of Project 365 this year is an idea I got from a random Twitter user back in December 2017. I saw that she recorded her daily activities in a calendar journal, summarizing how her day was like or what events transpired through art. The concept was nice so I thought of copying it come 2018.
Almost a week into this year and I had forgotten to do the project. Good thing I remembered and bought a calendar journal for this purpose. I caught up.
Perhaps what pushed me to be consistent with this project is that I want to be more in touch with my creativity, especially with hands-on art. It has been a while since I was able to hold pens and colored pencils.
Obviously, based on my inputs, I am not the best in art – even when I was in kindergarten. But I try and that’s what is important. My right side of the brain needs some exercise.
Aside from drawings and words, I have included symbols that only I could understand. I will add some more things – like clippings and souvenirs – sometime in the future.
You can see in my January journal how my January went. Several ups and downs, many of the latter carried over to February. I hope that my February entries will be much more vibrant, creative, and of course, positive.
Hahaha kacute 😂
