Amy Winehouse was an English Singer, Songwriter , Artist , Musician and Performer, who was born in London on 14th Sept 1983 and died 23 July 2011 at the age of 27 at her home in Camden, London. 

Her style of 60's Beehive and Cleopatra makeup made her stand out from the other singers and gave her an iconic image, her  beautiful jazz style and expressive vocals got her nominated for the Mercury Prize after the release of he debut Album Frank.  Her 2nd album in 2006 entitled Back to Black earner her a total of 5 Grammy Awards. She won numerous other awards including Best British Female Artist and Best British Album with Back to Black.  

Her most known singers being Back to Black , Rehab, You Know I'm No Good , Stronger Than Me and Love is a Loosing Game. 

What a lot of people don't know about Amy is that she supported and work with a great deal of Charities , including Anti-Slavery, Breast Cancer, Greenpeace, Save the Children, Save the Music Foundation, Redcross, and many many more. 

Her personal life was sadly turbulent due to problems with battling drug and alcohol abuse. She was found at home laying motionless on her bed by her bodyguard. The coroner reached a verdict of misadventure by alcohol poising being 5 times over the legal limit.  

Amy's death shook me up a little, as I knew people who knew her, such a sad loss. May her memory live on and her music be an inspiration to others for years to come.
