Who Wants to Try an Artistic Experiment?

I'm going to try an artistic experiment. Its kind of a crazy idea, so don't beat me up too bad if it doesn't work...

Below I have posted a collection of 3D graphics that I made awhile back. I've used them personally a number of occasions on some of my websites as they make cool icons, backgrounds, and they just generally are pretty to look at, and to me they feel kind of alive.

Anyways, while I value everything I create, I want to try an experiment to transfer the copyright of these images from myself to the public domain, but on one condition: I will release the following images into the public domain for anyone to use, modify and do whatever the f**k they want with, but only on the condition that the SBD value of this post finishes above 40 SBD (aka the "target value") by the payout date for this post (i.e. 7 days from the creation date).

I want to try an economic experiment to see if the STEEM network can essentially pay an artist for their work with the value of votes alone, in the same way the bitcoin network pays miners to solve cryptographic puzzles.

One could think of this post like a self executing contract (the original smart contract) that make the images contained within this post enter the public domain when the value of this post reaches the target value at the payout date 7 days from the creation data of this post.

This unique economic model within Steem means that it doesn't cost anything to you directly, but the whole world could gain from creative enrichment which is free for all of the world's > 7.5 billion inhabitants to use however they wish.

I think that if this is successful, it could be a model for other artists / photographers / creatives to release their work to the world for free, while still getting paid a fair compensation for their creative efforts.

This is really one of the coolest things about Steem right now: it enables creators to take chances and get paid in a way that's never existed before.
