So does the extra paint just puddle under the mesh part? Will it dry there? Do you drain it? Do you let it get gummy and then just scrape it?

Yep it just puddles under the mesh. It will dry eventually. How quick depends on the weather and when my next pour will be. I pretty much just let it dry or accumulate, depends if its touching my canvas, then I replace the layer of foil. :)
