Fresh Paint ๐จ ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐จ
Fresh Paint is an annual arts festival held on the waterfront in Everett, WA.

Held over two days, the event features more than 100 artists. Their booths transform the marinaโs promenade into an outdoor art studio and gallery. Paintings, jewelry, wood carvings, blown glass and photography are just a few of the many mediums sold at the festival.

Several artists/vendors at the festival not only sell their pieces but they also provide demonstrations where they create new works. At the Snow Goose Silk Art booth a husband and wife team dyed silk scarves. The booth was equipped with a long shallow tray filled with water. Different color paints were added and stirred but not mixed into the water. This created a colorful swirled pattern of paint. Then a white alum soaked scarf was gently placed in the tray. The alum allowed the scarf to perfectly absorb the paint, resulting in a beautiful hand dyed piece of wearable art.

The food trucks at Fresh Paint were located adjacent to a glass blowing demonstration, giving visitors the opportunity to eat while watching the creation of hand blown glass floats.

I canโt imagine where one would start to even make this. It is crazy. And it was massive. Like a head board for a king bed!
I have some artist friends and watching them โcreateโ is an art all in itself. Madness!

That looks like an amazing event at a nice airy happy location! Gotta love silk art - the feeling of silk on your skin PLUS some nice colours... Makes me drool.
