SCULPTURE: MOULDING THE HAND IN A POSE

This post is a continuation of my sculpture series. Due to some logistics, I was unable to accurately capture the processes which led to the final work.

But nevertheless, I am still going to post the theoretical process.

STEP 1

Getting a model for the moulding process. Study the model very well especially the length and contours involved.

STEP 2

In the creation of this work, I used the additive process whereby you keep adding pinches of clay to the work to get the desired effect.

STEP 3

While using the additive process, you make you keep looking at the model in order to get the precise features.

STEP 4

After getting the forms of the work correctly, detailing the work is the final process in moulding the hand.
