The Master and the Egg [Short Story]
inspired by Codner's Taekwondo Moodukkwan Int
He sat before the Grandmaster in humbled silence. Flickers of light from candles close to the end of their life threw dark shadows acrossthe hardwood floor of the Dojo. The Grandmaster was small in stature but grand in aura. If a device that enabled us to be able to capture the colourful rays of our inner being then his would shine a radiant yellow, a glimpse of a rainbow that promised sunshine through turbulent times.
The dark shadows darting across the room gave the dark features of the master an almost stone look as if he was cut from granite. As if he was cut from a different cloth to the rest of mankind. He spoke quietly but his words were immense.
"Visualization is key"
"Belief in what you visualize is what will make you succeed."
He spoke no further as if a radio station tuned in for great news had instantly lost reception and all that remained was white static, that brought unease at night.
Saying no further words he walked towards the dusty bricks, four in total. One standing at the base while two on either side of the base brick held another two on top, as if an improvised red stone table, but at its center held a brown egg, whose purpose was to demonstrate the universal power of the vibe...
