Art and Creativity
I am not a paint artist! But I have lots of friends who are and I have attended countless artists’ receptions. Why? When I studied cinematography in California one of the textbooks said to attend receptions, study the single image and it will make one a better filmmaker. So in CA and FL I have pursued the single image to understand art and it has helped me in my eclectic media career immensely. Observation is an excellent way to enhance your creativity in many endeavors – design, photography, video, interior decoration, theater and of course painting.
One day I would like to paint more than a house or interior walls and do it just for fun. One of my favorite art forms is writing simply because it is a natural display of thinking. Often you don’t even realize what you think until you write. Besides my mother sat me down in front of a very old typewriter when I was 12 and said you are going to be a writer. That would have been in 1960 a rather long time before electric typewriters, personal computers and voice transcription technologies. Technology advances over the course of my lifetime has blown me away. We all have such fabulous tools now to play with and expand our creativity.

Let's hear it for the single image! Good stuff.
Thanks - still learning and trying to remember all the tips.
LOL! I remember doing my term papers on an old Royal typewriter...not electric. Seems like we have similar interests. New follower here. Have a wonderful day. Tess.
I think mine was an Underwood or a Royal - may need to do a time travel in my mind to remember.
Thanks for posting!
