you dont have to speak Chinese to enjoy Chinese opera, its the visuals and the movement that always gets me, so rich so colourful, i real assault on the senses ...... i see Chinese opera as a form of abstract painting (though i know that there is a storyline behind it), you read into it and take from it what you will ... lol :)
For Chinese like me, it's also abstract haha...
