El surrealismo o superrealismo es un "movimiento literario y artístico que buscaba trascender lo real a partir del impulso psíquico de lo imaginario y lo irracional" el cual fue expuesto por primera vez en el año 1924 por André Breton. En el ámbito literario, los escritos surrealistas tenían como objetivo representar la verdad mediante la "escritura automática" la cual hace omisión de las correcciones racionales dejando libertad a la imaginación para representar escenarios mágicos tal y como si fueran cotidianos, basándose en la descripción de imágenes y escenas para la expresión de escenas. El término "surrealismo" surge del francés Surréalisme; "Sur" (sobre o por encima) y "Realisme" (Realismo), este término fue acuñado originalmente por Guillaume Apollinaire en 1917.
Los máximos exponentes del surrealismo en la pintura son por su puesto Salvador Dalí, Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, Jean Arp, Masson, Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Maruja Mallo, Meret Oppenheim José Moreno Villa, Benjamín Palencia, Gregorio Prieto, Eduardo Westerdahl, Juan Ismael, Óscar Domínguez, Roberto Matta, César Moro entre otros.
Surrealism or superrealism is a "literary and artistic movement that sought to transcend the real from the psychic impulse of the imaginary and the irrational" which was first exposed in 1924 by André Breton. In the literary field, the surrealist writings were aimed at representing the truth through "automatic writing" which omits rational corrections leaving the imagination free to represent magical scenarios as if they were everyday, based on the description of images and scenes for the expression of scenes. The term "surrealism" arises from the French Surréalisme; "Sur" (above or above) and "Realisme" (Realism), this term was originally coined by Guillaume Apollinaire in 1917.

Este dibujo está hecho con grafito sobre una cartulina de hilo, superficie sobre la cual no estoy acostumbrado a trabajar, la textura es bastante marcada lo cual facilita el lograr tonos mas oscuros y fuertes con los materiales con los que se trabaje, para empezar el boceto dibujé una linea con la que calculé el tamaño de la bailarina en el plano, siempre pensando en exagerar los rasgos corporales, intentando hacerla mucho mas alta de lo normal, además tracé la linea del horizonte abajo casi en el borde inferior de la cartulina, somo si estuviéramos observando la escena desde el piso, realicé algunas correcciones justamente en este elemento, el fondo, coloqué y eliminé montañas, borré y dibujé de nuevo un par de veces hasta que me pareció que el resultado era el mas propicio.
This drawing is made with graphite on a cardboard of thread, surface on which I am not accustomed to work, the texture is quite marked which facilitates achieving darker and stronger tones with the materials with which you work, to start the sketch I drew a line with which I calculated the size of the dancer on the plane, always thinking of exaggerating the body features, trying to make it much higher than normal, also I drew the horizon line down almost at the bottom edge of the card, we are if we were observing the scene from the floor, I made some corrections precisely on this element, the background, I placed and removed mountains, erased and drew again a couple of times until it seemed to me that the result was the most propitious.

Procedí luego a darle forma al motivo principal, la bailarina, su vestido tiene un aura de oscuridad y sus telas se notan transparentes, además parece que se funde con la piel en determinado punto, comencé desde la parte inferior marcando únicamente con el grafito y luego dando forma al pecho, los brazos y la cabeza.
Then I proceeded to shape the main motif, the dancer, her dress has an aura of darkness and her fabrics are transparent, it also seems to melt with the skin at a certain point, I started from the bottom marking only with graphite and then shaping the chest, arms and head.

Por último tomé un algodón y comencé a difuminar suavemente las zonas donde se ubicaban las transparencias, en especial la tela del vestido, la niebla del fondo, y el aura oscura de la bailarina, lo cual le dio a mi parecer el aspecto macabro que se ve en el resultado final.
Finally I took a cotton ball and began to gently blur the areas where the transparencies were located, especially the fabric of the dress, the fog of the background, and the dark aura of the dancer, which gave me the macabre aspect that was Go on the final result.
