A narrow backstreet not far from an open market. Lots of changing shadows, plain walls, and balconies of warped wood defying gravity. Surprisingly cool despite a blazing sun.

French curve and an architect's stencil used to create form. Mainly dabbed watercolour, with a reddish ink thickly brushed on to give depth to the shadowed arches and deep recesses.
