If you don't have a plan, you become part of somebody else's plan.

My interpretation

Everybody has a plan

Society has a plan, the government has a plan, Banks have a plan, wealthy people have a plan, so on and so forth. Everyone who has a considerable influence within our World has a Plan of Action.
When we are born into this world, we all get automatically inserted into other people's plans. Be it our parents, our culture or the large society into which we are born. But as we grow and develop more Awareness about ourselves and the world around us, we should understand the plans onto which we give our energy, and then choose which plans are worth promoting and which not.

Developing our own plan

Having a plan for yourself doesn't mean that you won't be a part of someone else's plan, but you will advance through other people plans and you will be working on achieving yours in the meantime. Having a plan means to understand that other people have plans, and that there are a lot of plans out there, so we should meet the people which have similar goals to ours, and join them, so that we may work together to the realization of our Hearth desires.

Not having a plan

If you don't have a plan, you will just get stuck in someone else's idea of how you should live your life, without finding your own way of living a happy life for yourself.
Earl Nightingale used this metaphor, which I find most beautiful:

Think of a ship with the complete voyage mapped out and planned. The captain and crew know exactly where the ship is going and how long it will take and it has a definite goal. And 9,999 times out of 10,000, it will get there.
Now let’s take another ship and just like the first and only let’s not put a crew on it, or a captain at the helm. Let’s give it no aiming point, no goal, and no destination. We just start the engines and let it go. I think you’ll agree that if it gets out of the harbor at all, it will either sink or wind up on some deserted beach and a derelict. It can’t go anyplace because it has no destination and no guidance.

That should help you understand the importance of having a Plan in your Life.

What do you think about having a Plan?

Let me know in the comments if you think I might have the wrong point of view regarding the whole thing, or if you think there's more to add to it. I'd like to discuss this topic further with you guys.

Thank you all for reading. Have a an amazing day!

Completely agree. Just want to add - before making your plan, set some goals and set them high. Really think about what you want to acheive in life. Might sound a bit harsh, but go for something you think is worth dying for..

I completely agree with you also! Let me add something more to your statement also: A high goal is needed in life, so that you may know the direction in which you are going, but a high goal alone can be overwhelming at times. So below that main High Goal, there should be different smaller goals that help you reach your higher goal. Complete determination and complete commitment are the main skills that will help anyone pursuing any dream.

please follow and up-vote i will do the same for you

Hello @prakash14. I did follow you, and I will be looking around for content. See you around :)

Well said 👏 this is very true and honestly, as I've grown a bit older, I've seen my peers become increasingly discontent with their lives and their situations. I think living too long accomplishing someone elsels plan, and not your own, really takes a toll and many people eventually hit a breaking point and start making big changes. Luckily we happened to hit that breaking point before age 30, but not everyone does!

Yes, I think I've read somewhere that a mid-life crisis is all about that, people not being happy with the life they are living. And I think that we are not happy with our life until we start directing our life into a certain direction, to our Hearth choosing.
I've followed you my friend, hope to see more of you around! :)

WONDERFUL POST, sometimes you just need a little reminder on where you are going.
