A rather large canvas for painting on location. Happily, it wasn't windy that day! Canvases this large are known as "sails" amongst us outdoor painting types. If a strong wind kicks up while I'm painting a large canvas like this one, I can easily end up watching my easel blow over. Not good.
How would you like to live near those beautiful hills and enjoy them each day? Amazing.

Looks like a really beautiful spot. Love how the sharpness of the buildings draws the eye in... and the hills are "soft."
Thanks @denmarkguy ! Compositions almost always need a focal area (the buildings in this case, but especially the house) and everything else plays a supporting role.
