”Greys River, Wyoming” 20”x22” (#880) oil on linen canvas by Lee Gordon Seebach

I found this beautiful, colorful river on a painting trip to the Tetons.

Oil paint is creamy, sexy stuff and you can make all kinds of delicious color notes with it, plus putting it on canvas, you can get beautiful textures and combinations of effects. And there's no limit to the possible combinations of everything. All I need is an excuse - a beautiful, inspiring subject - to play around with it.

This scene offered such an opportunity. It was total joy: probably more fun than a person should have. 😉

I see my art as lighting some candles.
