Unearthly Harmony
Handmade jewelery and sculptures by Jacqueline Ryan (England) and Junko Mori (Japan) are like pieces of the natural world transformed into graceful, gentle objects of precious metals and stones. Brooches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, static ornaments, speak in a new language touched by the fantasy and subtle hands of both designers.
Inspiration is found in the forms of nature, where the freedom of the line is unpredictable. Entitled "Beauty in Repetition," their joint exhibition (alas, far away in northwestern England) is on the lines of the consonant, standing between repetitive elements.
The work of both designers is shown both individually and collectively. Junko Mori shelters his ideas in the shape shell, while Jaqueline Ryan looks for his creative abstraction in the abstraction. Sketches and illustrations drawing the path of the idea to her physical body will be available next to the materialistic imagination of the two artists.
Although belonging to different cultural fields (J.Mori was born in Yokohama and J.Ryan in London), both share the same attachment to the harmony of natural images. The created beautiful and airy artifacts are as if from another world - poetic and inspiring. Although displayed far too far from us, such creations deserve attention, as even as a photograph of the real object, the power of their impact does not cease.
