BunnyHeads
This is an introduction to my art that falls under the category of 'BunnyHeads'.
The concept was born over 10 years ago.
As a child, I was obsessed with colorforms. Look it up if you don't know what it is.
I was thinking about how much I used to love those and got an idea to create something of the sort, inside the Broken Toyland universe. What I came up with, was cutting wood in the shapes of my characters, painting them accordingly.
And yes, it started out as an actual head of a bunny. This one, below.
Rather large, too. Around 2 feet in length, and a foot wide x approx 1 inch thick.
After a few bunny heads, I started making other things. Like this buzzard, below.
But they were always called BunnyHeads, thereafter.
This one was modeled after an old painting I did... a parody of Raphael's Angels.
The angel bunnies, the table they're leaning on, the bottle... everything is one piece of wood.
Did a lot of small ones, too...
Dragonflies, people, owls, foxes... huge, small... all kinds of stuff. Lots of fun :)
This is the most recent one I've done. I tried something new... a scene within the character.
