Fan Artwork by Makinita!!

Easily one of the funniest and coolest things anyone has sent me was this fan art by the animating luchador from Ecuador, Andres 'Makinita' Silva (Check out his heavily John K. inspired cartoons - https://vimeo.com/makinitasilva)!

I really don't make any effort to hide the fact that I have a profound love for all things weird and unusual (especially when it comes to monsters, aliens, the cryptozoological and the paranormal) -so it makes slightly more sense that this would feature me skateboarding with my local crypto-buddy, the Wendigo, and latin-american fan favorite, El Duende!

I've had the priviledge of working with Makinita on some truly weird as hell projects (when Makinita asks if you want to create some psychedelic animation parts for his next cartoon when a duck takes LSD for the KLIK Amsterdam Animation Festival - you can't just say no!), and despite him being the creator behind often the crudest, most immature, disgusting, and what-the-f*ck inducing content I've ever seen - Andres is one of the hardest working and most talented animators I've ever personally known. It's not very often you see anyone doing frame-by-frame rotoscoping animation anymore, and there's a reason why! All things considered, it didn't even come as a surprise to me to learn that Makinita is currently in the works with rock-monster legends GWAR on a new music video (release date TBA). Really, it's kind of a match made in heaven..wait, I recant that previous statement - it's definitely a match made in hell.
