Beautiful knot in leather , lace , ribbon or chord.
I think I want to try and make a giant one using really thick rope! I don't know many knots, but this is one of my favourite.
Go to the library and get a book of knots, there are some amazing decorative ( and practical) knots from our history. This is a dying art, I will see if I can dust off my Scout and Sailor skills to put together a post with some of my knot work.
