The art style transition there in the middle is endlessly amusing. Not the only web comic that that's happened to, and undoubtedly not the last.

Different artist and 6 years later ;)

With my limited production budget I decided it was better to finally get on advancing the story rather then go back and fix what wasn't broke. I wanted to get Julie back to continue drawing but she has put comics behind her and has moved on to animation.

That was absolutely the right decision, because producing something that people are already interested in but better makes them feel rewarded. Spending the time and money to go back and redo what they've already become emotionally invested in just makes it seem like you don't care about their investment.

Animation is probably a much steadier job than working on comics so I don't think anyone can blame her for that decision.

Wow, I love this series!

How many issues are there, if you don't mind my asking?

We're currently up to 50 strips. We post once a week on Tuesdays. But we're gearing up to start releasing more pages weekly for some related side stories. That should start rolling out in about 4 weeks.
