I use a limited palette, but not that limited. I mix my black from ultramarine blue and burnt umber, I feel that gives richer color than black out of the tube.
I'm wondering how you achieve saturated blues, like a sky, with that palette. No blue?
Well no, obviously you couldn't; hence the term limited palette. Keeping things simplified allows for one to embrace relationships and context. Once obstacles, limitations, and challenges are faced, that's where creativity begins.
