How to make YouTube videos into GIFs in seconds

Have you wanted to convert a video into a Gif before ? Especially when its from a YouTube video ? It makes great visuals for your Steemit Blogs as it makes a static blog comes alive. Below is a sample.

So how this is done is pretty simple and it can be done only in a few steps.

Step 1

Head over to http://gifs.com . Make sure you already have the youtube video which you want to make a gif off. Paste your link in the site and you would be brought directly into the screen below where you need to select which part of the video you want to make a gif of.

Remember that the longer the GIF you create the bigger the file may be where it make take longer to load and for someone who sees your blog thru a slow connection may have difficulty seeing your image. Once you selected click on Create Gif on the top left.

Step 2

Now you can make minor edits like adding in captions or stickers in your GIFs. There are a number of standard Gifs or you can upload your own image as well to be embedded into the image file. Once you are done editing the Gif file, you can now proceed by clicking Create Gif on the top left

Step 3

Just give it a title and then you can click Next

Step 4

You are done ! You can now copy the link under Direct Link and post it into your blogs. You can even download the Gif if you want to store it onto your own pc or wordpress hosting.
