Turned Majestic Pen with Blue Dyed Box Elder
This week I turned another Majestic Pen but this time I did it with Blued Box Elder. Box Elder is a nice wood to turn and I especially like the blued pattern. To finish it, I take it up through 2000 grit sanding pads and then finalize with 8 layers of Cyanoacrylate glue. Sounds weird, but the glue gives it a super solid finish that lasts through heavy use.
