the Crow Nest / le nid-de-pie
Small graphite pencil drawing started 2 days ago.
I'm back to small format, faster to fill with tiny details.
What would be a dream explorer daylife on board of his weird Imaginery-travel ship ? That's the question this drawing tries to answer :)
Sorry for photo quality : testing both my phone and Steepshot for the first time :)
looks like the sketch from a movie :-) go for the tiny details! you're doing it great.
Thanks a lot :)
people demand 600dpi color scans! :D awesome job man
thx :D
Don't worry, there will probably be a few more better quality pictures of this one, while the work will progress.
Last steps might involve some sepia acrylic paint wash above the drawing :)
(seems I had a browser bug : seems my previous answer is not showing)

Great looking sketch, extremely creative. How long did the illustration take you?
Hard to say : I always work on several drawings at a time almost continuously, but up to this point, I'd say maybe 4 or 5 hours over two days (not counting the wood plank preparation.)
Still working on it, between two other ones :)
Well so far so good! Great drawing! Do you post a lot of artwork here on steemit?
Thx a lot :)
I try to post regularly, at least when I think something is worth showing.
For now I'm still under the "amazed-newbie charm" steemit has cast on me when I've discovered it 2 weeks ago, so creative energy is still at a nice level.
I'll try to keep it flowing : good and strong feeling :)
Keep up the great work! We run an art sharing initiative here on steemit! Trying to establish a strong artist community on the platform! Would love to see some of your future illustrations
Thx again, there will be more as the time goes :)
And I whish you the best luck with your initiative : beautiful project you have here :)
