HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANOURS
President Grump felt he’d been sent to the cleaners,
When learning he’d be charged with High Crimes and Misdemeanours.
Now a High Crime clearly has serious connotation,
Something appalling, against the Nation!
Whereas a Misdemeanour could be simply discarding a gum wrapper,
Out on the street, chasing a flapper!
Treason would reasonably constitute a High Crime,
Something that may result in Grump doing some time,
But even if proven, he’s still out of reach,
For the likelihood is low, that they would successfully Impeach.
Of High Politics, it all does smack,
Yet another trumped up political attack.
But, such a revelation should not be a surprise,
Happens all the time, a word to the wise.
After all, the last refuge of a scoundrel is a political career,
So it is not surprising to see them all acting queer!
High Crimes and Misdemeanours, what’s that all about?
Another machination by opposers to give political clout.”
Oh, what a tangled web they do weave,
With all their manipulative effort to deceive!
