Those more successful of our race,
Keep lawyers close, all over the place.
Always ready to litigate,
Stranger or friend, an alarming trait
Some lawyers we wish to mention here,
A firm with a banner; SNIDE, SMIRK AND SNEER
Enter here lawyer, Oswald Snide,
Slyly disparaging (as name implied).
His reputation as a sure-fire winner
Of cases too hard for a beginner,
Without regard as to guilt or not
But whether the defendant can pay a lot.
The analogy of the LAWYER VINE,
With clutching thorns along it's spine,
Suits many in this ancient trade
Where real money can be made.
Defending a thief of high criminal rank
Caught on camera defrauding a bank.
The defending argument, quite compelling,
(presented amid much supportive yelling)
Was that Banks can be thieves of a much higher order,
Than a commonplace villain, a serial defrauder.
And so the case was set aside,
Another win for Oswald Snide.
