A BREED APART

One of the many political tricks and devices,
Was the proposed introduction of breeding licences!
Rodney Ratbag was a politician with skill,
Wanted to introduce an extravagant legislative Bill.
To improve and enhance his own nation,
So he introduced a controversial legislation,
“By introducing Licences to breed,”
“We’ll refine the population, yes a new creed.”
People unfit for breeding should be stamped on their head.
“Unfit for Breeding,”, now that’s what we’ve said.”

Ratbag tabled his bill, when Parliament sat,
Sadly voted out, at the drop of a hat.
What was the objection, these Parliamentarians had?
“Each said, “We can’t vote for this, It’ll exclude my Mom and my Dad!”
“Yes, for all of our parents, no licence would’ve been had.”
“Progeny of unapproved parentage how sad!”
“We’ve but to look in the mirror, to see we are bad!”
“And for those who have a Mommy and Daddy still alive,”
“They’d have to have foreheads stamped, in order to contrive,”
“Unfit for breeding, Unacceptable D.N.A,”
“Such is self-evident, that’s all we will say.”
