Free Form Geode : Test 2 : Day 2
After almost 24 hours, I found the resin was still tacky which means I really stuffed the ratios. On the plus side it didn't bow. Tacky resin I can work with.
I added extra glass to the border and center to give it more height, dimension, that sort of thing. I also decided to go with black and white on this layer to darken the border and lighten the middle.
I tend to forget I'm documenting the process when Im in the moment so a few minutes later..
Over here you can sort of see the glitter that I added.. Ok not really..
That was on Friday. It's now Sunday and it's still tacky. To be fair when I started it was warm but by the time I finished the weather turned and it's been raining ever since.
Thank goodness.
My art can wait. We need this rain.
That considered it's been a very lazy weekend. Trying to catch up on food, sleep, relaxing. I haven't poured but I have done this.
It took 2 days but finally this is the last coat of gesso for the bottom. Next step is to prime them all with white house paint. Once that's done I should be ready to start pouring again, but this time I want to see if I can turn one of these into a geode pour.
How's your weekend going?

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
stunning!
The suggestions I've made to other friends who work in physical media is to set up a camera to either video or take photos every few seconds over your work area so you can just do your thing and worry about pics afterwards. I don't know how easy that would be for you in your work area and working on stuff like this but it would stop you having to zone out to document ;D
Geode is looking pretty good! Even if the resin is tacky.
