The Underdogs - Comic intro

Hello!

Today I'm going to talk about The Underdogs project, a comic I just started to work on this year and it's about aliens, humans, an android and a vampire, because why not.

Hoy les voy a hablar sobre mi proyecto The Underdogs, un comic que apenas este año comence a planear y que trata sobre aliens, humanos, un androide y un vampiro, ¿por qué no?.

The idea was born because first of all, I always wanted to make a comic, but I could never figure out a base for what I wanted to do with it. And secondly, because of this illustration I did of a vampire and it's description; This is drunkula, he always has a tequila bottle under his hat (because wine is too mainstream) and he is drunk all the time and looks cool but he is not cool at all. From here the idea of making a group of characters with absolutely nothing in common and with personality traits and with distinctive appearances was born. And of course, they had to be absurd and fun at the same time.

La idea nacio porque, uno, siempre he querido hacer un comic, pero no había terminado nunca de sentar las bases de lo que queria hacer. Y dos, por esta ilustración que hice de un vampiro y la descripción que le puse; Este es drunkula, siempre lleva una botella de tequila dentro de su sombrero (porque el vino es muy mainstream) y esta ebrio todo el tiempo, se ve chevere pero para nada que lo es. De aqui partio la idea de hacer un grupo de personajes que no tuvieran absolutamente nada en comun y con razgos de personalidad y apariencia que los distinguiera. Y claro que tenian que ser absurdos y divertidos al mismo tiempo.

The story starts when Klamato (the alien) crashes his ship on the earth and during the impact, his ship's antenna (a powerful antenna with unknown capacities, even for Klamato) gets encrusted in Sofia's (the human) skull. One of her friends informs them about an eccentric count who helps people at the top of a cliff in the city where they live, so with nothing to lose and a bunch of government officers behind them, they decide to go with the count.

La historia inicia cuando Klamato (el alien) estrella su nave en la tierra y en el impacto la antena de su nave (una potente antena con capacidades desconocidas incluso para Klamato) se incrusta en el craneo de Sofia (la humana). Uno de los amigos de Sofia les dice que hay un conde excentrico que ayuda a la gente en la cima de la colina de la ciudad donde viven, asi que sin nada que perder y un monton de oficiales del gobierno buscandolos deciden ir con el Conde.

There is still another set of characters (the antagonists) but I will show them in the next post.
