Rapa'i Geleng is an Acehnese ethnic dance originating from the Southern part of Aceh in particular, now called the Southwest Aceh district. Rapa'i Geleng was developed by one of the anonymous in South Aceh. Rapa'i Geleng playing is also accompanied by dance moves that symbolize the uniformity of attitude in terms of cooperation, cohesiveness, and full support in the community environment. This dance expresses the dynamics of society in the recited poetry, costumes and basic motion of the elements of the Aceh region dance. The poet is read in the form of greetings, praise and advice.

The dance movements are followed by Rapa'i rhythms that are rhythmic one-on-one, slowly, long and then rapidly change accompanied by gestures that are still sitting position kneeling, swerving left and right. Rapa'i Geleng dance movement grew faster and faster.

This type of dance is devoted to men. Usually who plays this dance there are 12 men who have been trained. The poem is socialization to the community about how to live in society, religion and solidarity are upheld.
