Using AI algorithms for visual content manipulation

in #art9 years ago

After reading a post by a fellow Steemian @carlgnash mentioning Deep Dream Generator I decided to give it a try with a few of my original photos. I was pleasantly pleased with the results and began to explore it a little more. From what I have discovered so far it seems to be an open source project from google that deepdreamgenerator.com has created an easy to use web interface for. More technical users can install the program from github. If you install it on your own machine its recommended to have at least one Nvidia GPU to help speed up image rendering.

Here is an animation with the generated image over the original for reference.

Some of you may remember the photo of a dove I shared a while back. Here is what Deep Dream Generator did to that image.

This is what it looked like before

Finally an animation with the original and generated image merged.

Siraj Raval has a great video about getting started with Deep Dream on your own system
