Mid-night Art practice
Last night turned into a pretty long art session. It had been a while for me to sit down for an uninterrupted 3-4 hour-long art time. I wouldn't say I painted anything marvelous as I'm trying out different styles these days.
Urban Jungle
I've been wanting to create something with a bunch of houses clustered together in a giant hill. It's not anything new and I've seen a lot of artists do this. Here, I wanted to play with lines and perspective and let me tell you it seems a lot easier than done. I really how hard could it be to put these lines together but boy was I wrong! :P
While creating this one, I found myself lost in the image and from where I was picking these lines up. Here, I have not included the shadows which I will try in the next one for sure. But I still thought it was pretty cool for the first attempt. After completing the pen work, I did jump on the black background which now feels unnecessary.
Flower illustration
This is another one from last night. It is the second entry in my mini sketchbook. This was basically a study or test illustration and later I will make something more out of it. I loved the background and I think I would experiment more with lighter colors as well.
Line art
After these two I took some photos to post here but they didn't turn out good. So I had this line work in mind that I wanted to give it a go. This was the third quick thing. And it is what you see in these pictures above, in the background. Last night wasn't about creating anything major and but trying out different things :)
See you in the next post!
Be Creative :)
I love black and White illustrations with simple lines, is a very complex thing...and love your mini sketchbook ;) I also have one, tiny drawings are excellent exercises to prepare for big ones :) Greetings!!!
