#86 : Navigating Through The Stars..

Today I'm sharing some pages out of my sketchbook. I tried some composition with novels and diaries. So here it is :

Illustrations of Zodiac Sign Constellations. Also I gathered some random stuff about constellations in my sketchbook.

So I was wondering, who invented these and found that, the traces of it goes back to 270 B.C. The constellations as we know them comes from a poem, called PHAENOMENA by the Greek poet ARATUS.

These were invented to help navigate the celestial world by astronomers. The Zodiac is the ring of constellations that the Sun seems to pass through each year as the Earth orbits around it. I don't really get the logic behind sings but I do find the patterns interesting.

It seems like a game of connecting dots. Some of my paintings inspired by stars.
