I've had a set of 12 traditional Chinese; also known as "guóhuà" watercolors for a few years now. I learned about the history about the difference between your basic watercolors in comparison. Traditional has been made using the same materials dating back 1000's of years ago. The colors i choose to incorporate throughout Ravek's black "A" sketch in black permanant marker were 19 Scarlet mixed with 50 Chinese White to create a bubblegum/pussy pink. Blended 55 Light Green [Arizona Iced tea aluminum can green] with 56 Light Blue. Accents around the "A" with 25 Gamboge Yellow and the background using 58 Indigo mixed with 57 Phthalo Blue; hints of 50 Chinese White. The cone<-----"if you can't tell" using 25 Gamboge Yellow/51 Vermillion, commonly known as brilliant red adding 14 Burnt Sienna and 50 Chinese White. Next I went over with oil based Sharpie markers using white and yellow, outlined in black Sharpie [basic] and lastly hitting the "A" with a gold "force field" or barrier acrylic paint marker.
FYI : less water goes a long way
