DIY Paper Candle Holder

in #art8 years ago (edited)

Hello! Today we will make a paper candle holder. This can be put on a table or used as a decoration for a date. Hehe. :)

We need colored paper (any color will do), scissors, and a candle.

Fold a sheet of paper to make a triangle like in the picture above.

Now, fold it over two more times to make a small triangle. Bring the top point of the triangle down so that it ends up like in the picture above (right).

Cut the protruding end of it and then cut a curve into the remaining piece like in the picture above (right).

Draw a pattern on it like the one above and cut it. Unfold it. We'll need two of these, so repeat the preceding steps on another sheet of paper.

This is what we should now have.

We'll need to repeat the above steps two more times, but we'll have to cut the curve on each folded triangle a little lower so that the resultant flowers are a bit smaller than the first two we made. Also, we won't be cutting out any holes on these.

We're almost done! Put all the paper flowers together with the two smaller ones on top.

Place a candle on top, and...not bad, huh? I like it.  :-)

I'd like to give a big thanks to @expatlove for editing. I love you, Baby. <3

Very easy, children can do that I think too. I will give the link to my youngest daughter ;-)

Yes! Thank you!

Very nicee)

This is a great idea! We take mission teams into Uganda every year and this would be a cool craft to do with some of the older kids!

Nice @awesomenyl! Thanks to share! (;
