DIGITAL ART TUTORIAL - How to color a face
In this digital art tutorial I'll be showing you how to color a face with digital painting software and (preferably) a drawing tablet. We'll start out with a line drawing and I'll be showing you some do's and don't when it comes to painting a face.
When coloring a face, you can start out with a basic skin tone. It's important to add color variation later on, to give the skin a more realistic look. I do this by adding an Overlay layer and paint with oranges and reds, but also with blues and purples.
Try to build up shape and contrast gradually and tweak the painting as you go.
Here are some DO's and DON'Ts when it comes to painting a face.
As you can see, color plays an important part when it comes to achieving realism.
Be ware that shadow parts of the face are (often) NOT BLACK and
the white of the eyes is NOT WHITE
You can use a soft edged brush with a low opacity to blend the colors of the skin nicely. Pick up a color with the eyedropper tool and glaze the color on top of the area you want to blend (you can find a tutorial on blending on my YouTube channel).

Do you have any plans of making illustrator tutorials as well?
And what's the best platform for learning Photoshop, Illustrator and all this designing stuff?
I really want to learn all these skills but I guess my age is a big hurdle in becoming a good and pro graphic designer!
Thanks for sharing :)
