When I started studying art my drawing lecturer told us that the biggest thing to learn is to learn to really look with your eyes, because when we draw things that we see all the time, our brains tell us that we know what it looks like so we rely on drawing what we think is there and what our brain tells us is there instead of drawing with our eyes.
