Oil painting of an eye (+STEPS)
Hello Steemians,
today I'd like to share procces of an alla prima eye study I've done yesterday. The painting was made on Centurion linen panel, size is 5x7 inches
As usual I start with the wash to kill the white of the canvas. Quick drawing with the brush to establish light and dark areas
Eyes are quite easy to draw, you can relieve yourself from matching the perfect likeness and meditate on the form and overall anatomy of the eye
At this stage I have nailed overall value structure
Here I realized I have messed up with eyelashes so I scraped them out and reworked eyelid to give it more sense of turning form.
This is more or less the final of this sketch, I hope you guys dig it! Feel free to ask questions in comments
