The fountain of desires____watercolor /// la fontana dei desideri____acquarello

Good morning dear friends Steemians.
The work that I present today is a watercolor executed in front of a fountain from the 1800s. A fountain isolated on a small street, where the children who used to go to an old school stopped for water, from 1805 until 1950.

I painted this painting back in 2004.
When I stood in front of the fountain, to paint the subject, an old inhabitant of the place showed up explaining that the fountain had the nickname "fountain of desires" because the children used it for the stone star from which the tap came out water.
So, in their imagination, the star from which the tap comes from which they drank was the generator of their desires, the first was certainly to quench their thirst ...
All of us as children have enjoyed huge drinks of water from a public fountain, or a refreshment in a hot summer.

When I pictured the fountain, the water no longer came out, the municipal aquaduct had closed the delivery mandate, and after telling the old man I decided to get the water out of the pipe, the magic of art !.

Buongiorno cari amici Steemians.
Il lavoro che presento oggi è un acquarello eseguito davanti ad una fontana del 1800. Una fontana isolata su una piccola strada, dove si fermavano a prendere l'acqua i bambini che frequentavano una vecchia scuola, dal 1805 fino al 1950.

Questo dipinto l'ho realizzato nel lontano 2004.
Quando mi posi davanti alla fontana,per dipingere il soggetto, si è presentato un vecchio abitante del luogo che mi spiegò che la fontana avesse il soprannome "fontana dei desideri" perchè i bambini la chiavamano così per la stella di pietra dalla quale fuoriesce il rubinetto dell'acqua.
Quindi, nella loro fantasia, la stella da dove esce il rubinetto dal quale bevevano era generatrice dei loro desideri, il primo certamente era quello di dissetarsi...
Tutti noi da bambini abbiamo goduto di enormi bevute d'acqua da una fontana pubblica, oppure un refrigerio in un'estate torrida.

Quando ho ritratto la fontana, l'acqua non usciva più, l'acquedotto comunale aveva chiuso la mandata dell'erogazione, e dopo il racconto del vecchio decisi di far uscire l'acqua dal tubo, magia dell'arte!.
