Ned Scott (16 April 1907 - 24 November 1964) adalah seorang fotografer Amerika yang bekerja di industri film Hollywood sebagai fotografer yang masih berusia 1935-1948. Sebagai anggota Klub Kamera New York dari tahun 1930-34, ia sangat dipengaruhi oleh sesama anggota Paul Strand dan Henwar Rodakiewicz.
Bentuknya adalah dewanya. Proses fotografi adalah pencarian konstan untuk bentuk yang benar, esensi murni, kebenaran dari apapun. Kreativitas adalah sebuah pertempuran, sebuah pertarungan antara matanya yang tajam dan sifat dirinya yang bertentangan dan memberontak. Pertarungan itu selalu menggelitiknya, tapi membuatnya kelelahan. Karena bentuk kepemimpinan adalah esensi kreativitas Ned Scott, dia berpisah dengan praktisi gerakan Foto-Sekresi, Alfred Stieglitz dan Edward Steichen pada dekade-dekade sebelumnya. Bentuk apapun selalu mendahului gagasan tentang kebenarannya, bukan kebalikannya. Realitas adalah fungsi struktur, bukan proses berpikir. Menangkap kebenaran struktural itu adalah kekuatan pendorong fotografinya.

Saya memulai menggambar fokus pada bagian mata terlebih dahulu.
Membuat garis wajah bentuk sempurna.
Menyempurnakan keseluruhan gambar.
Mendetail kembali bagian-bagian yang masih kurang.
