Chaos Monkey as Teacher

So, do you feel you've learned anything from the Chaos Monkey? Can you learn anything from them? What is the take away from their lesson?

That I think is hard to summarise, as we are dealling with a trickster. And perhaps that is the message. That we should break out of black and white dualistic morality and recognise that sometimes what is not good is not bad, and just because something is not bad, it doesn't make it good. That we shouldn't take everything so seriously. That we shouldn't try to control every aspect of our lives, because sometimes its more fun to watch things unfold. Or as @dana-varahi and I often say:

"Don't try to control, or the troll will con you"

It is perhaps slightly unfair to have put pupil Aleister Crowley in the corner with what at first glance appears as a dunces cap. He was, for all his faults, a great prankster and joker after all. But who put him there? The monkey? Seems hard to believe. Maybe he put himself there as a prank.

And is that Austin Osman Spare with a catapult aimed at Harry Potter? In my defence it was 2002 when I drew this. I had no idea how big Harry Potter would still be after all this time. Most of the films hadn't even been made at that point!
