This is Completely a Personal Opinion and Vision, Please Don't Take Me Wrong
One of my very best buddies out there, @clayjr, got started in Steemit few days ago. I helped him a little bit, talked with few people about his talent and his beginning in this platform. So he naturally got the attention of some members.
But then I saw his following posts and if it wasn't for my upvotes and support he wouldn't receive almost a thing.
So I thought about all those new members that start their path in Steemit daily, and even after weeks or even months they still receive zero recognition. I made many posts already talking about how make original cool content and the importance of it. But to be honest... in order to succeed in Steemit I believe that's no longer enough.
This is something that honestly makes me feel sad because of all those peeps that get started onto the platform and really have something to offer, but get poorly recognized. Due to that frustration they feel the failed and that they are not good enough to succeed in here. So they leave and leave the opportunity to become someone in here.
Not to mention all the reward pool rapists out there that waste many of the resources from Steemit. This is honestly something that makes me angry AF. But I agree, I do nothing about it (such as down-voting) because I have no power to make a difference and yes, I am a pussy... I honestly don't want to waste the few chances I got into this platform to make a difference for some people in the future.
But indeed, if you don't have a friendly whale in here, it is more likely that you won't really get far. But this knowledge opens a whole new realm of possibilities: how to get far in Steemit.
The only clear answer is to get someone with influence that can help you to get places. But how to befriend someone like that without being a Spammator?
We go back to the topic of the quality content.
Imagine that after a lot of efforts and insisting you got your opportunity to be in front of a whale and talk directly or chat with one. What are you gonna say? (And no, the answer is not "please help me")
Precisely, you gotta have something to offer.
And also, the answer is clear... Every day, every week, every month that passes in Steemit you will have it harder to get started in here. This is why insisting and keep the good quality content and material is so important. Because you never know when your opportunity will appear.
Give something, don't aim to just take.
And please, insist, insist and insist. This is the only way that you will get your opportunity. But once again,
what will you do when you get your opportunity?
Think about it.

I always try to listen to the ideas of my fellow followers to improve my posts and to give something back to the community... therefor: What would you like the next posts to be about? What should I talk about? What kind of painting? Would you like some tutorials about arts, about cooking? Maybe some fresh gaming broadcast? I would love to know!
I apologize if I don't reply to your message. Sometimes I can't find enough time for it. But you can be sure that I will read it!
Bye!
i am new here on steemit to. I learned that there still are some people willing to help newbee's like me. You just have to find your way. Maybe as a tip for fellow newbee's: minnowsupport is always there to help new steemians and if your main language is not englisch, you can search for the topics specific for you language. For me one of them was #alldutch buth these topics were made for a lot of languages. People in these topics are often people that having a difficult time getting upvotes themselves because some of them dont speak englisch very well. That way, you can support eachother. I hope this is usefull for some small fish like me ;)
This is something good for having in consideration for those that come with doubts and needing new tools for succeed, thank you for sharing @liketimmy!
Btw, the way you write "englisch" is adorable.
Haha, i'm still learning so i bet i sound really adorable to when i speak "englisch". lol
Yea, it is hard and I still don't understand the whole social structure behind this system. What I recognized with some people: If you already are someone, you get even more and more attention with less effort, like the saying: the richest getting richer.
In my case, I haven't found many people yet, who are interested in the same thing like I am. Maybe I'm not searching hard enough?
I'm being hopeful since the site is fairly new, that more people will keep coming. It sucks that the big guys can easily get all the attention, but remember they bring in a lot of fans and eventually those fans will start wandering around the site looking for more
I would never find your profile and content if you did not make a response here. Your posts are amazing and they are the type I like to look at. You already convinced me to follow you with this
I believe that we all share something that we like, maybe you just haven't found the amount or quality of followers or right public, but I believe that time and efforts it will come out by itself =)
And yes, peeps with more get more, that s not something new ;)
Huh, it is quite unfortunate but that is the reality. However, if you are really talented, I think the best way to get noticed is to engage urself in contest.
I think that there is no talented people, just skilled. I don't feel myself talented at all because I sucked at arts when I was young, it was practice that drove me to the point where I am now and it was a looong long journey,
And as for the contest thing, yeah! Every tool that you have is a great opportunity to show off, and that's exactly what we need in order to succeed in here =)
Yes, it's true. For me, they have been difficult months. I have had to read a lot to understand a bit about what this is all about and it is complicated because the dynamics of social networks change periodically, so you never understand it completely. If you add that you need to also spend a lot of time improving your work, in the end you do not know what to pay attention to. 😑
I think that the most important thing to pay attention and put your energy to is to yourself. Because in the end that's what matters at most!
I found my place in steemstem, met some great people and made some great posts that got upvoted by them.
Yes, getting a whale to upvote you is hard, but it's not impossible, we just need to be persistant and work hard!
Absolutely, you gotta show why you are worthy! And that takes a lot of time sometimes =)
Definitely you are right. I can relate to all of that. This platform is becoming more of a pay to play scheme, which is quite disheartening actually.
Definitely think the same way! It always depends on the other person though if you have something to offer or not, if no one enjoys what you have to offer, you have to keep on trying or find something else :D Enjoy your day and see you around!
Btw I'm doing some Illustrations, too! But I'm more into drone photography.. but right now I'm trying to improve my Illustrator skills! You know any good tutorials on Illustrator?
That kind of photography sounds quite interesting! And regarding to Adobe Illustration, you can find many many tutorials in youtube, so get to any basic one and start asking to Google =)
This is really true. I use Steemit for 2 months (posting my paintings) and I would like to have answer to question: Why 1 post jups to 140 upvotes and other similar only 4?
I haven't check but I am pretty sure that your first post was with #introduceyourself tag. Steemit system likes to make most of new steemians to feel supported at the beginning to start a strong one. Is that your case?
I completely agree, it is hard to get started here, especially if you don't have that support which you need in order to get off the ground floor. I had one post that jumped, but since have really struggled to gain that attention from my followers and other fellow steemians, but this is not going to stop me. Persistence is the key to success here, and much of the persistence lies within the community (commenting... not just poopy comments but Quality comments, as you mentioned with quality content, finding discords and other initiatives, and making influential friends with that SP we all so desire to have)
kind regards and much respect from @conradsuperb
You are completely right! And I actually feel better now that I read your post :)
I will keep creating the best content I can, and let's see what happens.
To answer your question: More tips on helping artists make it would be so great. Thanks! :)
