Fantasy Environment Painting
Hi there my fellow Steemians.This was a piece I did last month and easily my best piece I've painted so far.
The objective of the piece was to create a fantasy environment nestled within a cave.The requirements were to have a lake inside this cave along with a sprawling castle built out of the stalactites of the cave itself.I initially started with a very rough drawing then fleshed it out more by adding flat colors.
From there I added in the details in layers to end up with the final product. I'll do more in depth processes in the future!

Either the stalagmites the castle is made of are massive or the people that made it are small O_O
I love the green glow! Are those little lights small boats with lanterns or just lights to help light the cave up? Seems like a nice enough place for a city, and something that would have a pretty cool history behind it :)
The stalactites were huge.Almost stretching up to the ceiling from the floor of the cave and there little lanterns to light up the cave.
:O That would be an amazing sight! And aww how cute, and good idea, would be pretty dark in there unless they had some bioluminescent algae or something living on the walls.
also stalactites are the ones that hang down from the roof, stalagmites go up from the floor
