When Geometry and Landscape Painting Intersect
When Geometry and Landscape Painting Intersect
Seattle-based Mary Iverson uses oil, acrylic paint, ink, and photographs as inspiration to study geometry and human environments. Her paintings overlay geometric landscapes with dramatic angles, colors, and shapes forming a web. The perspectives in these paintings are astonishing and what made me strive to see more.

Metaphors
In these paintings you find metaphors for nature, shipping industry, and love. This is what she calls the visual solution to these metaphors that face the world as we know it today. More of her paintings are in Correspondence, her exhibition with Scott Albrecht at the Endeken Gallery in Amsterdam, NL. Show opens November 11th.
