How we Built the Tricycle Hat!
How we Built the Tricycle Hat!
Materials
Some materials aren't pictured here. The ones like the foam wheels from Michael's and the tissue paper I don't have photographed. They are on the wheels.
First I hot-glued the blue bandanna on to a hat I got at Michael's. I liked the color of the bandanna, and could manipulate it to be more flat like the seat of a tricycle.
The tissue paper was wrapped around the pieces of foam and taped. The wheels we cut out in circles, painted and glued to the foam. Then hot-glued to the hat. I put pieces of cardboard on the inside of the hat to make it sturdier to hold them so they don't slack down. I gaff taped the outside of the tires to give them dimension and feel more rubbery.
I then twisted the giant pipe-cleaners into the shapes and glued them to the back of the wheel. Taped it down with gaff tape and glued inside of that.
Hope you liked this craft, Steemians. Let me know if you want to know about other parts of the costumes!
