Good post, I always wonder about the creation behind game development. Another interesting fact, mechanical engineers sketch concept designs with calculation on paper before drafting in AutoCAD or SolidEdge.
It is actually very interesting but fairly organic in a sense that it strongly depends of the stuido size, a small studio have fewer employees who tends to be more polyvalent (On Runes for exemple I tend to be Game Artist, Concept artist, Art director (of myself only haha), a bit game designer etc. While in bigger companies such as Ubisoft, it is totally different and highly specialized.
Thanks for the fact ! I didn't know about that ! I have so much respect for these guys, it seems so technical. Same for 3D artists, some managed to jump from a videogame career into Tesla Motors, Nasa or Robotic industry, that's crazy.
