TATTOO PIECE,THEN AND NOW

Hello steem,
The other day one of my customers came back for a new piece after few years of time off..
That gave me the opportunity of take some pictures on my first piece l did for him 8 years ago..the colour it's been a bit faded but that's something that can totally happen over the years, specially when your tattoo is on your arm/shoulder..
Here is the image of the finished piece around 8 years ago

lt was loosely based on the cover for the album by lron Maiden 'Life after Death'
He really liked that album cover and wanted to do something along those lines but with a zombie pin-up instead of the band's mascot.

l wanted to change a bit the colour scheme as the cover (even tho is amazing) was reeling too much on blue tones, and l thought that for a tattoo piece it would work better if it had more shades of different colours, l made the zombie girl to be dressed up like Eddie on the cover l thought it was a funny homage

Here's how the tattoo piece looks today

lt does need retouch, but lm quite happy that the overall piece still holds quite strong,conidering how detailed some of the parts are, like her shirt etc,
l would say that the worst condition goes for her head it seems that it lost a chunk of ink on her hair, but lm quite happy with the background,
Sometimes the mix of colours in a background fail the test of time and they pretty much disappear but not those pinks and purples.
