Each country has various forms of tradition and culture. Starting from music, dance, regular events, to other things that become part of the country's identity. including the traditional musical instruments they have. here are some traditional musical instruments from several countries in the world. what are the instruments? Here's the 12 traditional musical instrument in the world...

1. Bagpipe - Scotland

Great Highland Bagpipe or also be called Bagpipe is a typical wind instrument of Scotland. Bagpipe usually is played by locals there using a set of traditional Scottish clothing. Bagpipe have a five pipes, four pipes above and one pipe at the end of the bag called chanter. To match the identity of a Scottish country that is identical to the tartan cloth, usually on the bagpipe sack wearing a tartan patterned fabric. Bagpipes have a typical sound, which is a combination of a loud, shrill, and wriggling, but sounds melodious. You can hear this bagpipe,s typical sound in one of Disney movies, Brave.

2. Mbira - Africa

Mbira is an important instrument of zimbabwe. This instrument is a typical musical instrument of the Sona tribe. Mbira itself is estimated to have been made and used since 1000 years ago and still exist today. Mbira  made from a wooden box with space and metal pieces the when the metal plate is pressed will issue a pitched sound source. Many musical instruments are the result of the development of this instrument. One of them is kalimba or piano thumb.

3. Shamisen - Japan

Japan also has many traditional musical instruments, one of them is shamisen. Shamisen is played by picking. This instrument has a three strings and picked using a tool called "Bachi". Shamisen sound source also comes from a leather-covered room. There are three kinds of shamisen namely Hosozao, Chuzao, and Futozao. Shamisen has been used in Japan since at least the 17th century, making it an important part of traditional Japanese music. Currently, shamisen is played at art and cultural festivals, musical performances, theater and dance performances, as well as various other traditional performances.

4. Janggu - Korea

Janggu or also called Seyogo is a traditional drum from Korea. Janggu is also called an hourglass drum because of it's sleek shape like an hourglass. Janggu is beaten using two small stick. Janggu has two sides that make two different sounds that symbolize two element, men and women. If both sides are sounded together is believed to make a sound that symbolizes the harmonization of men and women. Both sides of Janggu that make this sound are made from different animal skins between the two sides. While the body material of the enlarged body on both ends and smaller in the middle is made of wood. Slim body part of janggo called jorongmok.

5. Qanun - Arab

Qanun is a musical instrument like a traditional harp from Arab that made since the 10th century. Qanun instrument consists of a rectangular sitar board. At the top there are 81 stretched strings in 3 strings for each note. To pay this instrument is place it on a lap or table, sounded with a finger clip where there are 4 plectrum mounted on the 4 fingertips of each hand, the string is supported by a bridge on the sheep or fish skin covering part of a rectangular qanun (so the sound is made with the resonance of the sheep or fish skin). The player will also create a new maqam with his hand, including for modulation.

6. Grajabpi - Thailand

Grajabpi or Krachappi is a stringed instrument, similar to a lute. The strings are plucked, and it is used in Thai classical music. It is made of jackfruit or teak wood, and has four strings. Usually the player laps the instrument while playing  It usually has a long decorative wooden "tail." It is one of the oldest Thai classical instruments and has been little used since the 20th century.
